Monkey Beach sits on the west side of Phi Phi Don, under a cliff, and the macaques that live there come down to the sand throughout the day.
They are wild animals, not an attraction. Boats have been feeding them for years and it has made them bolder and more aggressive than they would otherwise be. We do not feed them, and we ask guests not to bring food ashore.
The reef along the shoreline is worth the stop on its own — it is shallow, sheltered, and full of reef fish.
